They say timing is everything, and we believe that defines our story so perfectly. Ryan and I first matched on Hinge, however our lives had been quietly crossing paths for years. We both graduated from the same high school just one year apart and even grew up in the same neighborhood, only a few streets away. Yet it took seven years and one dating app for our paths to finally align. When they did, it felt like everything clicked into place. Our first date was on October 1, 2022, at The Biscuit Bar in Plano. What began as a simple dinner turned into an adventure that carried us to Union Bear and then Rock &amp; Brews. We couldn’t stop talking, laughing, or finding reasons to stay out just a little longer. It was one of those nights that you wish could go on forever. From there, we took turns planning dates between Frisco, where I lived, and Flower Mound, where Ryan lived. By May of 2023, we were ready for the next chapter and moved into our first apartment together in Frisco. Less than a year later, we found ourselves moving to Flower Mound, a place that quickly felt like home. By February of 2025 we had bought our first home together in a cute little suburb of Corinth. Just before that move, Ryan suggested we celebrate Valentine’s on February 17 that year since he had a track meet on the 14th and we would be moving into our new home on the 15th. Ryan made us a reservation at Perry’s Steakhouse in Downtown Dallas and even got us seated at the exact same table by the window overlooking the city where we had once celebrated his birthday for the very first time as a couple. After dinner, he suggested coffee at White Rhino, one of my favorites, followed by a walk through Griggs Park, a place we liked to take our pup, Odin. Coffee in hand, we strolled up the familiar hill where we had made so many memories. As we approached the top, Ryan asked someone nearby to take our photo. But instead of posing, he took my hand, spoke the most heartfelt words, and dropped to one knee. In that moment, overlooking a place filled with our memories, he asked me to marry him. Through tears, laughter, and a heart overflowing with love, I said yes! Every detail of that night was intentional, thoughtful, and a reflection of the love we’ve shared since day one. A love that feels guided, protected, and perfectly timed. Looking back, we can see God’s hand in every step of our story. From growing up just a few streets apart to now building a life together side by side. We are endlessly grateful for every twist, turn, and moment that led us here.
